HKS Racing Controller Heading To The UK

The HKS racing controller is a Playstation 3 controller, modified for use with racing games. Does what it says on the tin really.

If you haven’t caught a glimpse at the peripheral before, that’s because it’s only been available in the US until now. Experiencing some success across the pond, retailer GamingZap has decided to get hold of a few units to sell here in the UK.

What makes the controller good for racing with? Well, one of the analog sticks has been replaced by what is effectively a really big mouse wheel, for precise steering. The X and Square buttons (for throttle and break) are also wheel-like so you can apply just the right amount of speed or “Oh shit too fast!” when needs be. A small LED display also shows you how much throttle you’re applying.

Does anyone remember the G-Con Racing pad Namco bought out for Ridge Racer? Really odd design but worked strangely
