Space Invaders Case For iPad
Taito Corporation, a dedicated company for iPad accessories is soon to launch the Invadercade, an extremely interesting looking case for iPads.
Being released on October the 11th, I can assume only in Japan for the moment is the Taito Corporation’s Space Invaders inspired case for the iPad. Game Watch said this on the product:
“INVADERCADE” is the company’s arcade game Space Invaders case for the iPad. It’s appearance – the upright type of housing, mini-sized accessories are exquisitely reproduced. The buttons and levers are available, applications are delivered for the iPad App Store “Space Invaders HD” (450 yen) and you can play arcade style.
In use, it can be operated with levers and buttons which can be inserted from the top of the unit to plug into the iPad. It can be recharged simply by setting your iPad to charge, it also features stereo speakers on the front. In addition to the game, you can also enjoy video and music.
Size is 25 × 23 × 35cm (width × height × depth) and weighs 1.4kg (excluding AC adapter). Village Vanguard will sell it as well as online stores such as Amazon.
I believe it will be on show at the Tokyo Game Show for anyone who will be over there and wants to give it a try. I don’t personally have an iPad, however, if I did, I would consider buying this – it is after all, pretty cool. Check out the pictures below.
