Unreal tech and more coming to iPhone.
The annual Apple conference has just finished and we’ve got all the information you need.
While the iPhone 5 wasn’t announced in the end, the iPhone 4S had its debut announcing a number of key features which will differentiate itself from its big brother. There is plenty to talk about here.
The iPhone 4GS is packing some serious power under their super sexy Retina Display screen. It now shares the A5 dual core processor with the iPad 2, with Apple claiming a 7x increase in graphic capability, the biggest camera given yet with a whopping 8 megapixels (welcome to the 21st Century Apple cameras!) along with a 1GB memory, beefing up the original from iPhone 4 which had 512MB
Of course there is also video recording, packing full 1080p HD while rocking the AirPlay TV mirroring, which honestly is frikkin’ awesome.
By the way, this thing can make phone calls too. The 4S is able to choose between two antennas during a call, improving the overall quality of the call, along with supporting GSM and CDMA. A nice touch is the 14.4mbp/s download speed, improved for HDSPA.
Battery life supersedes the iPhone 4 – then again, what doesn’t? – promising 40 hours of music, 8 hours of 3G talk time and a whopping 10 hours of video.
Now, to gaming…
One of the biggest announcements – certainly for us lot – was Epic Games’ Mike Capps joined Apple honchos on stage to discuss the Unreal tech powering the gaming inside the 4S. Along with this they announced ‘Infinity Blade 2′ – which will be hitting the App Store on December 1st.
Capps revealed ‘Infinity Blade 2′ uses a portion of the graphics tech that runs ‘Gears of War 3′, which is amazing and unsurprising considering a scaled down version of Epic’s Unreal 3 Engine.
Initially only for release on iPhone 4S, no word yet on other models, although with the amazing visuals its hard to see it appear on anything other than future devices. Check out the screens below….I mean, *jawdrop*

I know, right?! Release dates and price for the iPhone 4 are as follows: UK – 14 October with an estimated retail price up to a maximum of £599. In the US the device will release on October 12th with the following pricing - 16 GB – $199, 32 GB – $299 and 64 GB – $399.
Edit: According to the Apple UK website you can pre-order the 4S Sim-Free starting from £499.00

Are the prices listed for the phone itself, or is there a 2 year contract tied in there somewhere. If so, it would be more accurate to say “200+ dollars with contract” which is very different.
Thanks for the feedback. Everything in this article is all the pieces of information we have been given at this point. Sure enough as soon as we know more we will update this post.
