Capcom X Namco Xmas Fight Club!

It seems fighting game events are in full swing and Capcom and Namco know just how to join in on the fun. Street Fighter, Tekken, Marvel…Wow, fighting games enthusiast heaven.

At Namco Station, from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm on 3rd December 2011, Fight Club is back! For one day only, over two sessions, Capcom and Namco are throwing their differences aside to bring to you; the UK fighting game enthusiasts, the fighting game event of the year: Christmas Fight Club!

What makes this particular fight club so special? For me, it’s the returning cabinets of Tekken Tag 2, but for you it could be any number of reasons. Perhaps its the chance to play or watch Street Fighter X Tekken, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Tekken 6, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, SoulCalibur V and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike? Or maybe its the free bowling, free pool and refreshments, not to mention a DJ, break-dancers and all manner of free-play arcade machines. Still doesn’t interest you? How about this:

Katsuhiro Harada – Producer of the Tekken Series will be there! He’ll be there to witness your superiority, your infallible technique and your desire to be the best – if you can perform knowing he is peering over your shoulder! Time for an autograph and picture I think.

More exciting news comes in the form of an eight person, single-elimination tournament running in each session for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arcade and SoulCalibur V, of which selected matches will be streamed live with prizes for the tournament winners. There will also be numerous exhibition matches where the UK’s top players will face off in live streamed matches.

So Xmas Fight Club? This is your opportunity to meet the creator of Tekken and witness the top players of the UK fighting game community go head to head! If you want to see some of the top players in action, here you go.

Want to attend? I thought so. All you need to do is turn up on the day, entrance is free, and there is room for 300 people in each session, first come, first served. I recommend getting there early, as this event will attract a lot of visitors.
