Mii Characters in Europe now exceeds the populations of France, Italy and the UK.

Research done by Nintendo Europe has revealed the total number of Nintendo Mii characters created across Europe now exceeds 73.2 million. Now that’s a huge number right? That’s more than the populations of France, Italy and the United Kingdom or more than Spain and The Netherlands combined.

The global population of Mii characters is a whopping 213.8 million, that pretty much means that if Mii’s were to pop out of the Nintendo Wii’s and go off and create their own country it would have the fifth largest population in the world and would sit above Brazil, Nigeria and Pakistan. The European population of Mii’s is so large that if they would go off and create their own country it would be the second largest country in Europe after Germany.

The population of Mii characters is Europe is almost equally split down the middle between both genders, 37.2 million male characters versus 36.1 million female characters. Now with the launch of the Mii Maker application on Nintendo 3DS it is expected that the European population of Mii’s will grow a lot larger.

The Mii maker is really easy to use you simply use your Nintendo 3DS camera and take a picture of yourself and your new Mii will be automatically created. You can also import characters from your Wii using an SD memory card, saving Mii characters to a SD memory card from the Nintendo 3DS enables it to be used similar to a digital photo.
