Nintendo Europe has announced today a new deal with free-hotspot.com.
Free Hotspot is the worlds largest multinational network of exclusively free Wi-Fi hotspots. This partnership will allow 3DS owners free access to over 5000 Wi-Fi hotspots across 21 European countries.Your 3DS will automatically connect to free hotspots in many of the biggest fast food restaurants and leading hotel chains across Europe, including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Subway, Ibis Hotels and Etap Hotels.
Once it`s been connected you will be able to receive special content that will be received automatically to your 3DS via the SpotPass, even while your 3DS is in sleep mode. The content includes unique videos from the Nintendo Video service and you will be able to get updates and extra content without having to lift a finger.
It even covers free internet while you are in one of these hotspots so you can visit whatever websites you like and shop for new 3DS games through the Nintendo eShop. Sounds pretty great doesn’t it? So go out and find some of these spots and get yourself some new content for your Nintendo 3DS.
