The Last of Us Screenshots

Finally we have a few screens from The Last of Us courtesy of Gameinformer

Those lucky chaps over at the American gaming mag have got themselves some month-long coverage of the PlayStation Exclusive. I think you’ll agree that the game is looking pretty darn amazing, graphically at least. But then the game does come from Naughty Dog, who have spoiled us with the Uncharted series of graphically intensive games.

A few facts have also emerged about the game. The main surprising one is that you will not be able to control Ellie, the games 13-year-old hero. She will be AI controlled and something Naughty Dog are keen to stress is a primary area of focus. The combat looks like it will consist of both gunplay and melee attacks with weapon degradation being a key factor.

The game world as a whole looks more inline with Enslaved  rather than the normal grey and bleak post apocalypse setting.

So far so good then for the Last of Us. The game is expected to launch late this year or even early 2013. Can’t wait.
