Take Survey For Access to Counter Strike: GO Beta

Find out how to earn the privilege of getting repeatedly shot by a bunny-hopping German kid like a bizarre, online circle of hell.
Click here to take the survey! What have you got to lose? Nothing, that’s what. Unless you don’t have Steam, because it does require that. But even then you’ve not lost more than a couple of seconds muttering, “What the hell is Steam?”
Valve are after new participants for their now-a-bit-less-closed PC beta of upcoming Counter Strike revamp, CS:GO. On completing the survey, you’ll be in their pool of candidates, and whether or not you’re selected will depend on how you answer.
But stop, person who has never played Counter Strike before! I bet you’re thinking of lying, saying you’re an embarrassingly skilled player with unhealthy hours spent online gaming. But there’s no need. See, they’re after both new and experienced players, so just be honest. You’ll be in with as good a chance and you’ll be a better person.
Over the coming months we will make selections from the survey participants. Sometimes we might add experienced players, other times new players. Sometimes 1.6 players, sometimes CSS players, sometimes people who have played neither.
There are no wrong answers to the survey questions.
I’ve not spent a second in any iteration of CS, despite its popularity back at school, so for me the survey was a fun sequence of “no opinion” answers. It’ll be interesting to whether I get picked, and how terrifying it will be if I am.
