March is set to be the month of the Virtual Console.
Nintendo announces a slew of Nintendo Classics to launch through the Nintendo eShop and Wii Shop Channel.
Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to get their hands on some of the classic NES, Gameboy and SEGA Game Gear titles. On the other side of that is the Wii’s offering which will be ale to download games from three classic consoles including some of Capcoms and SEGA’s titles throughout the month.
Games for the Nintendo 3DS:
- Metroid
- Kid Icarus Of Myths and Monsters
- Dr Mario
- Dragon Crystal
- Shinobi
- Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble
- Super Mario Bros.
- Punch Out!!
Games for the Nintendo Wii:
- Mega Man X
- Mega Man 5
- Super Street Fighter 2
- Strider
- Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge
Both Super Mario Bros. and Punch Out!! will release this Thursday on the Nintendo eShop to kick off the Month of the Virtual console. All games included in this list will be exactly the same as they were all those years ago. If you want to kick it old school check out these games for yourself.
