PSN’s Gamer Choice Awards 2011

The time has come to back up your favorite Playstation Network video game by voting on this year’s nominees for the Gamer Choice Awards 2012!

This is Sony’s second year of holding this exciting event. The nominees are split into ten categories:

Best PSN Exclusive
Best PSN Game
Best PSN Game Playable Online
Best PS3 Full Game
Best PlayStation Move Game
Best 3D Game
Best PSone Classic
Best Mini Game
Best PSP Game
PlayStation Community Award – Best Indie

In those ten categories, three games are up for grabs on the title in which they are nominated for.

For those of you who vote, the winning games will be placed on a special discounted price.

(30% for non-Plus members and 50% for Plus members for the week)

Voting will be closed at the end of this week so make sure you get your vote in so your favorite game can get the recognition it deserves! Also, a new category has been added, PlayStation Community Award or Best PSN Indie. If you vote for ‘Best Indie’, PSN will grant you a free voucher code of an exclusive XMB theme. If you vote for 9/10 of the categories, you’ll also get XMB themes.

Tetris was nominated for 2 awards: Best PSN Exclusive and Best PSN Game Playable Online

Resident Evil 4 was nominated for Best PSN Game

Dungeon Defenders was nominated for 3 awards: Best 3D Game, Best Playstation Move Game, and Best PSN Indie

PinkJunk Shooter 2 was nominated for 2 awards: Best PSN Exclusive and Best PSN Indie

Angry Birds was nominated for Best Mini Game

Plants vs. Zombies was nominated for Best PSN Game

Hard Corps: Uprising was nominated for Best PSN Game

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition was nominated for Best PSN Game Playable Online

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was nominated for Best PS3 Full Game

Assassin’s Creed II: Deluxe Edition was nominated for Best PS3 Full Game

Midnight Club LA Complete Edition was nominated for Best PS3 Full Game

4Elements HD was nominated for Best Playstation Move Game

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance was nominated for Best Playstation Move Game

God of War: Origins Collection was nominated for Best Playstation Move Game

The Sly Collection was nominated for Best Playstation Move Game

Chrono Trigger was nominated for Best PS One Classic

Parasite Eve was nominated for Best PS One Classic

Xenogears was nominated for Best PS One Classic

The Impossible Game was nominated for Best Mini Game

Pac-Man Championship Edition was nominated for Best Mini Game

Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy was nominated for Best PSP Game

Dissidia 012 Prologus Final Fantasy was nominated for Best PSP Game

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was nominated for Best PSP Game

Limbo was nominated for Best PSN Indie

The nominees were selected based on the ratings given on the Playstation Network in 2011. Winners will be announced on March 6, 2012. So vote now!
